TUC/WLRI guide for trade unions in Britain on tackling racism and xenophobia

A major study of racism at work involving researchers and trade unionists in 5 European countries has completed it's investigation. Its aim was to examine the role that trade unions could and should be playing in combating racism. This pamphlet draws on the research undertaken in Britain and is presented as a contribution to the continuing fight for justice for black workers.

At any one time there are always several seminars and conferences taking place across Europe that are of interest to anti-racists concerned with understanding racism in the workplace and in the unions and in combating it. WaR provides up-to-date lists of conferences and seminars. more »

The WaR research partners are now looking at how trade union anti-racist policy is implemented – or not – on the ground. Using case studies of workplaces that have some similarities in the five different partner countries the research attempts to highlight both the current limits of trade union efforts, and how to extend them. more »
